Program Coordinator
provides support and assistance to the Manager, Leadership & Governance.
The Program Coordinator provides administrative, coordination, and logistical support to FuseSocial's leadership and governance programs. This role is central to the smooth delivery of Leadership Wood Buffalo, the Board Member Matching Initiative, and nonprofit training and development, ensuring strong community connections and impactful program outcomes. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Leadership Wood Buffalo (LWB) 30%
The coordinator will support the Manager, Leadership & Governance, with the administration of the Leadership Wood Buffalo program. The program develops community-minded leaders through immersive learning and engagement.
Responsibilities include:
Coordinating participant recruitment, intake, and onboarding processes
Coordinate program calendars, schedules, and communications
Coordination of program learning days and events including booking of venues, speakers, catering and preparing materials and resources for learning sessions.
Supporting outreach efforts to promote the program within the community
Strengthening community connections through relationship building, media relations, and social media engagement
Analyzing program data and participant feedback to identify gaps and recommend improvements for future cohorts
Board Member Matching Initiative 20%
The coordinator will support the Board Match program, which connects skilled individuals with nonprofit board opportunities and ensures they are equipped for success. Responsibilities include:
Leading participant recruitment, intake, and placement processes
Connecting new board members with relevant training and development opportunities to support their growth
Matching participants with organizations based on their skills, interests, and organizational needs
Planning and coordinating all program activities, processes, and practices
Monitoring the progress of placements and maintaining regular contact with participants and organizations
Collecting and analyzing data to measure program outputs and outcomes, and inform continuous improvement
Training & Development Coordination - 50%
The coordinator will support the Manager, Leadership & Governance in delivering high-quality training and development opportunities that strengthen nonprofits across the region. Responsibilities include:
Assisting with the planning, scheduling, and delivery of board training sessions, including the Alberta Board Member Essentials program
Coordinating logistics for workshops and events, such as venue booking, materials preparation, speaker support, and A/V setup
Supporting participant outreach, registration, and onboarding
Maintaining and updating training materials, resources, and toolkits
Tracking attendance, feedback, and learning outcomes to inform continuous improvement
Supporting the development of new training modules and learning formats based on sector needs
Engaging with nonprofit organizations to promote board development opportunities and gather input on governance challenges
Contributing to reporting and evaluation efforts to measure program impact and identify areas for growth
Accountabilities:

Requirements and skills
Ability to work with diversity and multi-disciplinary teams.
Completion of relevant post-secondary education.
Detail-oriented and efficient.
Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
Knowledge of program management and development procedures.
Leadership Wood Buffalo graduation considered an asset.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Proven experience as program coordinator or relevant position.
Tech savvy, proficient in MS Office
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.50 per week
