Carefirst Seniors & Community Services Association
is a non-profit charitable community services agency established since 1976. Our spectrum of services has grown from the delivery of Chinese meals-on-wheels service to a full range of community support services, covering the whole Greater Toronto Area.
With a staff of 500 members (including full-time and part-time staff) and the help of a pool of 850 active volunteers, we serve over 15,000 clients a year, including seniors, adults, youth with physical, social, emotional and health challenges. 3,000 of whom are "home-bound" and frail.
We are currently seeking a permanent full-time
Program Coordinator
to join our Community Development / Wellness team.

Responsibilities:
Support the operations of Seniors Active Living Centre activities
Process daily program income
Prepare income & expenditure, instructors payment, cheque requisition requests, monthly statistics reports, etc
Manage the team's inventory, petty cash, account subscriptions, e.g. Zoom
Provide appropriate ONSITE and MOBILE cultural and language relevant activities at the centre and seniors' apartments, churches, libraries, and shopping malls in surrounding communities
Conduct health education workshops to promote healthy aging
Develop connections with ethno-cultural communities and faith groups through different platforms
Assist in other Wellness Program activities
Qualifications:
Degree or Diploma in health, social science or related fields
Valid First Aid & CPR Certificate is required
Knowledge of community resources and services
Excellent customer service with strong interpersonal, communication, and problem solving skills to work with people at all levels inside and outside of the organization
Demonstrated leadership skills to lead both large and small groups in activities
Effective listening and coaching skills to provide feedback and guidance to volunteers
High degree of judgement and capacity to maintain confidentiality
Superior time management and organization skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office and Zoom
Proficient in English; fluency in a second language that reflects the community served, such as Cantonese and/or Mandarin, is an asset
Occasional evenings and weekends may be required
Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for work is an asset
A valid vulnerable sector police record check completed within one year
