Position Overview
We are seeking a Program Coordinator II with a BSc in Social Work to coordinate the Ahlan Program, which supports survivors of gender based violence through holistic navigation, community partnerships, and culturally safe healing activities. This role requires strong coordination and partnership skills, along with a commitment to trauma-informed and anti-oppressive practice.
Key Responsibilities
Program Coordination
Lead the coordination of the Ahlan Program, ensuring the timely implementation of activities and in alignment with project goals.
Develop and manage partnerships, including MOUs with hospitals, shelters, and other service providers.
Work closely with the Program Manager on program framework, evaluation, and reporting.
Client Intake & Navigation
Manage client intake for therapy and resource navigation.
Develop individualized client care plans.
Ensure clients receive clear information and a supportive experience.
Schedule follow-ups and check-ins with clients as needed.
Maintain and update resource guides and referral lists.
Drop-In & Ongoing Support
Manage a resource drop-in clinic weekly (or as needed).
Conduct follow-ups with clients to ensure needs are being met.
Coordinate monthly healing circles in collaboration with other staff.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate client intake records and documentation.
Assist in creating and updating service agreement templates with external providers.
Support evaluation activities, including surveys, interviews, and progress reports.
Contribute to program toolkit development.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Social Work (BScW) from a recognized post-secondary institution.
Minimum of 1 - 2 years of related experience.
Proficiency in English and at least one additional language: Arabic or Somali.
Experience working with survivors of trauma, particularly women and under-served communities.
Knowledge of trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices.
Experience with de-escalation techniques and non-violent intervention.
Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while managing independent tasks.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
