The Program Assistant (PA) is under the direction of the Program Director, or designate. The PA will act as a first point of contact for Anduhyaun Inc. and assist in the day-to-day office administration of Nekenaan Second Stage Housing (NSSH). The PA must adhere to the Agency's policies and procedures including the non-disclosure of Client/Tenant information and information pertaining to Anduhyaun business. Any breach of confidentiality may lead to immediate termination. The PA will provide services consistent with Anduhyaun's mandate:
To support Indigenous women and their children in their efforts to maintain
their cultural identity, self-esteem, economic, physical, and spiritual well-being.
Duties and Responsibilities:
General Administrative:
Provide all aspects of reception, including checking mailboxes, distributing mail, updating bulletin boards
Answering main office telephone and email, respond to written and verbal inquiries
Assist with tenant relations, collect rent, and respond to inquiries
Maintain security of the building and a safe reception area
Accurate electronic and manual filing of all correspondence and documents for efficient recovery and use of this information
Provide assistance with orders, deliveries of materials, supplies and transportation
Schedule housing applicant interviews and assist with interviews, as required
Maintain invoices for Accounting, prepare and deliver bank deposits, as required
Assist and support the Executive Director and management team, as required
Other Duties:
On-call may be required, from time to time
Travel may be required, from time to time
Perform all other duties as required
Hours of Work/Hourly Rate:
The regular work week will be 40 hours or part-time flexibility can be discussed
May be a possibility of some evening and/or weekend work
Compensation: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
Additional Requirements:
Must have or be able to acquire a clear Criminal Record Vulnerable Sector Check
Proof of vaccination against COVID-19 as per Anduhyaun's Vaccination Policy
Knowledge of Indigenous culture is considered an asset
Experience in administrative/management role is considered an asset
Excellent communication skills
