Position: Professional AZ Driver

Position Details

Safety & Compliance Coordinator

Job Type:

Full-Time, Permanent

Wage Scale:

$23 - $25.50 per hour

Position Summary

Operate equipment and pick up and deliver freight in a professional, safe, and efficient manner in accordance with company policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.

Responsibilities

Safely transport goods across Canada, ensuring timely deliveries and compliance with all traffic laws and company policies. Manage multiple delivery and pickup points within regional routes. Secure loads and bins using appropriate equipment. Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections. Maintain accurate electronic logs and complete all required paper documentation. Engage professionally with shippers, receivers, and customers. Adheres to all relevant provincial and federal regulations. Ensure bills of lading are completed accurately. Assist with loading and unloading when necessary, ensuring safe handling of goods. Emulates Woodcock Transportation Group Standards. Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

Valid AZ Driver's License. Minimum 1+ years of experience operating an AZ vehicle. Experience operating a Moffett-style forklift is preferred but not mandatory (training provided). Current CVOR (Commercial Vehicle Operator's Registration) and clean Driver's Abstract. Minimum secondary school education.

Working Conditions:

Exposure to various weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, snow). Extended periods of sitting while driving.

Physical Requirements

Frequent sitting, gripping, and foot action. Occasional walking, climbing, crouching, squatting, neck movements, reaching, and wrist/elbow movements. Ability to occasionally lift up to 45kgs (100 lbs). Frequent pulling and loosening of straps and chain binders.
