Job Description

Westrans is a remanufacturer and supplier of parts in the heavy duty truck industry, who is looking for reliable and hardworking individuals to join our production team.

Westrans remanufactures many different parts such as drive shafts, differentials, clutches, power steering gears, transmissions, transfer cases and much more. Our remanufacturing work goes beyond basic repair; it involves dissembling parts to its core and rebuilding it until the part meets or exceeds the performance of a new part that was originally installed in the vehicle.

Responsibilities:

Prepping, grinding, drilling, and machining different parts

Heavy lifting is required up to 50lbs

Estimating costs of repairs

Work on the production line with consistent speed and accuracy

Maintain safe working areas and equipment

Perform general warehouse duties

Qualifications:

Mechanically inclined and comfortable working with and around different machinery

Knowledge of measuring tools as well as basic math

Welding is considered an asset

Be able to work individually but also in a team environment

Be a team player with good communication skills

Must be comfortable with using large machinery and pneumatic tools

Have a positive work attitude and is conscientious about punctuality

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Expected hours: 40 per week
