Job Description

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Count finished product and place product in display boxes Assist in running products through the tape machine and/or the X-ray machine Place cases of finished product onto the pallets (all product cases are below the limited kgs) Assist in other duties (e.g., loading the film, display boxes and/or corrugated boxes from mezzanine into the boxing room) X-ray functionality checks Machine clean up after production Serve as back-up in the raw processing room (working in a chilled processing room with raw beef products) Cleaning and sanitation of the raw processing room and equipment after processing (responsibilities include but not limited to: removing recycle and organic waste, dismantling equipment, following the 6 step sanitation procedures).
The successful candidate will be required to work in a wet and humid environment on occasion.

The job requires standing, bending and reaching for the majority of the tasks; tools and step ladders will be available.

The production worker will need to ensure their performance is in the compliance with company and government food safety and quality standards and policies.

There is lifting of boxes between 2-60lbs.

All staff hired will be fully trained for this role to ensure safe, correct and appropriate cleaning methods are done, in accordance to company GMPs as well as expected by the OHSA and WHIMIS. Personal hygiene and grooming is required.

Work schedule is 5 days a week, Monday to Friday. Hours of work are 7:30am - 4:00pm. Overtime may be required.

Requirements

Canadian citizenship or permanent residency in Canada

Effective communication in English

1yr experience in industrial sanitation (preferred)

2yrs Experience in the food industry (preferred)
