What You'll Do

As a Production Welder, your key responsibilities will include:

Performing various fit-up and tacking operations on structural assemblies. Interpreting weld symbols and following standard weld procedures. Adding components (e.g., stiffeners, brackets, face plates) based on shop orders. Executing GMAW welding on plate, bars, channels, and related materials. Setting welding machines for optimal weld quality (uniform bead, proper penetration). Utilizing cutting torches as required. Cleaning welds using chipping hammers or grinders to remove burn-through/spatter. Using overhead cranes safely to move materials. Keeping work areas and equipment clean and organized. Performing additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications- Required:

High School Diploma or GED Basic math skills for accurate measurements CWB GMAW (flat) certification

Preferred:

Previous experience in the steel or manufacturing industry Additional CWB welding certifications Familiarity with industrial safety practices
