About the Role



As the Oxygen8 Production Trainer you will be responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs for new and existing employees in production. This will involve working with different departments including engineering, quality, safety, and maintenance, to identify training needs and objectives, develop curricula and materials, and schedule and conduct training sessions. This will also involve monitoring and assessing the performance and progress of trainees, providing feedback and coaching, and updating and revising training content as needed.

Key Responsibilities



Work closely with the content development team to develop training programs, materials Work closely with the Manufacturing Engineering and Quality teams to establish standards and expectations Train new operators on the proper use of materials, tools, machines and computer systems Lead classroom and hands-on training for operators Conduct and oversee practical exams Lead onboarding training for new operators Maintain a training database and ensure annual renewal of trainings is being completed Coordination of training resources and materials Be actively involved in corrective action follow-ups when applicable Promote the use of written work instructions and use reports to track progress and feedback to operators Provide in-depth training reports and track the progress of the training by operator Measure the effectiveness of training programs

Experience and Skills



High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in a related field an asset Minimum of 1 year proven experience in a production or manufacturing environment 2-3 years of proven experience as a production trainer or similar role Detailed knowledge of production processes, safety protocols and quality standards Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and training methodologies Demonstrated presentation skills and excellent communication skills to effectively teach and train others. High attention to detail and ability to distill complex concepts into easy-to-follow instructions Proactive and possess strong initiative to drive training programs forward to completion Professional, responsible, and positive attitude Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new software

Annual Salary:



$70,000 - $80,000

Location and Schedule:



On-site regular hours (8am - 4:30pm) at 5085 North Fraser Way, Burnaby, V5J 0J2 Required to also visit our second manufacturing facility on occasion at 1575 Vernon Drive, Vancouver, V6A 3P8
