is seeking an experienced

Mining Trainer

. This role is essential to the ongoing development of our workforce and ensures that employees are trained and supported as they carry out their responsibilities safely and effectively. The

Mining Trainer

will be responsible for delivering training developed by our Training Coordinator, conducting competency evaluations, and working directly in the field within our unit at the IAMGOLD Cote Gold Mine with untrained or partially trained employees. The role does not include creating training content or maintaining training records but involves close collaboration with the Training Coordinator to ensure accurate documentation and smooth training execution. Mining Trainer

will work closely with both technical and operational teams to ensure effective integration of skills and knowledge on the field.

Roles & Responsabilities

-Deliver hands-on field training to support the completion of Common Core and specialty modules;

-Deliver scheduled training sessions using standardized materials developed by EPC Canada's Training Coordinator.

-Train employees on site-specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions, reinforcing consistency and operational expectations.

-Conduct post-training evaluations of employee competencies to assess readiness and provide feedback to the Training Coordinator.

-Support operations by working directly alongside employees who have not yet completed formal training, ensuring they can perform tasks under supervision.

-Collaborate with the Training Coordinator by providing timely information on training delivery and competency evaluations to support accurate recordkeeping.

-Act as a mentor and field-level resource for operational questions and hands-on support, especially regarding equipment operation, production tasks, and workflow clarification.

-Foster a positive and safe learning environment in the field;

-Perform any other duties related to the position.

Required Qualifications

-Have five (5) to seven (7) years of significant experience in the mining field;

-Be recognized as a certified trainer by the employer and authorized to sign off on completed modules in Ontario (Train the Trainer);

-Hold a valid Blaster certification;

-Hold modules U5030, U5031, and U5032 from the Surface Miner Common Core program;

-Hold the specialty modules in Blasting, namely U5055 and U5056;

-Be knowledgeable about explosive products and legislation related to the transport of dangerous goods;

-Experience operating heavy machinery in a mining or blasting context (asset);

-Familiarity with bulk truck emulsion systems (asset);

-Hold a valid driver's license;

-Have no criminal record related to the position.

Employment Conditions

-Permanent, full-time position;

-84 hour workweek, Sunday to Saturday;

-7/7 work schedule (seven (7) days on and seven (7) days off);

-Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions on occasion;

-Must be in good physical condition.
