Your Role





The Production Technologist role is a member of the operations team and will perform a variety of mechanical and administrative duties. The role will primarily perform electrical and mechanical assembly of company's products.



Primary Responsibilities:


Assemble and wire sub-assemblies. Submit engineering change request as required. Assemble products, including light mechanical and soldering. Complete required administrative duties. Label and properly handle nonconforming products. Participate in process improvement initiatives. Assist in material kitting and inventory control Work with Site Leader and Supervisor to document and maintain Standardized Work. Work closely with the Supervisor to implement solutions to operational issues: e.g., health and safety, quality, and productivity.

Additional Responsibilities


Follow all company safety policies and procedures and organize work areas for efficiency and safety. Provides status reports to management as required. Respond to change productively and handle other duties as required

Education & Experience:


Two-year technical degree (preferred) 3+ years of electro-mechanical assembly-related experience. Lean or Lean Six Sigma training and experience with deployment of projects would be considered an asset

Knowledge and Skills:


Ability to read and understand mechanical, flow, and electrical wiring diagrams. Ability to operate electric and mechanical hand tools. Computer literacy and good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Proficiency with Soldering/de-soldering Experience with Tube bending from 1/8 to 1/2" tubing.

General Knowledge & Skills:


Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
