ensures a continuous and efficient flow of materials to all production lines. This position combines hands-on material handling with data-driven planning, including time studies, material forecasting, and layout management using AutoCAD.
The Rover plays a key role in minimizing downtime, supporting Lean manufacturing initiatives, and maintaining organized, safe, and efficient material storage and delivery processes.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct material time studies and route analysis
Forecast material usage and maintain inventory accuracy
Manage and update storage layouts in AutoCAD
Ensure safety compliance and 5S adherence
Deliver and replenish raw materials and supplies to production lines
Deliver materials per daily schedule, maintain uninterrupted flow
Replenish bins using FIFO/Kanban; collect pallets, monitor red tags
Record time studies; identify route and process improvements
Track consumption, forecast needs, communicate shortages/overages
Maintain organized, labeled storage areas; update AutoCAD layouts
Follow safety policies, inspect equipment, wear PPE
Participate in 5S, Lean, and Kaizen initiatives
Qualifications & Education
Education:
College diploma/certificate in Supply Chain, Industrial or Manufacturing Technology
Experience:
Minimum 2 years in manufacturing/material handling
Skills:
AutoCAD, MS Excel, data analysis, Lean & 5S knowledge, process improvement, problem-solving (A3/Fishbone an asset)
Forklift license
