Job Description

Mission Thrift Store Red Deer is looking to fill an immediate vacancy for a Production Supervisor. The ideal candidate must understand the needs and wants of a thrift store customer and be able to motivate volunteers to deliver exceptional customer service. You must understand inventory control, pricing, delegation & motivation. You will work with the Store Manager & Volunteer Coordinator to maximize production & sales floor success by modelling an excellent work ethic & promoting cleanliness in the store. The Production Supervisor must reflect Christ in his/her behavior and be vibrant, passionate & have an entrepreneurial spirit.

Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate production team activities
- Monitor production processes to meet quality and output targets
- Train, mentor, and motivate volunteers to achieve production goals
- Implement and enforce safety guidelines and company policies
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize production processes
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members

Experience
- At least 2 years of retail experience
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills
- Experience managing people: engagement, conflict management, etc. preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Retail warehousing or receiving preferred

Preferred Skills:
- Organized & neat
- Analytical & problem solving skills with good judgement & able to make decisions independently

- Effective verbal, written & listening skills

- Computer skills including the ability to operate Excel, Word and email programs

- Time management skills

- Positive, helpful attitude toward volunteers/customers/donors/staff, including the ability to speak clearly & convey information accurately

Working Conditions

- Combination of natural light & fluorescent/LED lighting

- Crouching, kneeling, stooping, bending for long periods of time

- Walking or standing for long periods of time

- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
