Job Description

Role Summary
Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Production area, including the development of the production schedules, maintain communication with the customer, operating within budget and effective management of all Production personnel and related activities. The position is for day shift.Key Responsibilities
Ensure productivity, efficiency and quality standards are achieved on daily basis;
Plan, coordinate and notify employees of their daily tasks;
Take appropriate corrective action when substandard performance is observed;
Develop and maintain a team oriented atmosphere at all times;
Interact with all support functions to ensure smooth operation of Production activities in their assigned areas;
Enforce all company policies and procedures;
Champion continuous improvement and cost reduction efforts;Co-ordinate and communicate with the customer including part requirements and steel requirements,Prepare shipping documents and enter production daily into the MRP systemMaintain inventory on the MRP systemPrepare data analysis on MRP dataLoad and unload trucks as required.Communicate and enforce all company health & safety policies, practices and rules, and readily correct unsafe conditions or behaviors of which you become aware, and initiate disciplinary action when required;
Adhere to and follow all company health & safety policies, practices and rules for the workplace;
Investigate workplace accidents/incidents of which you are aware and/or within the work area(s) under your responsibility, which may include but is not limited to conducting interviews with employees, investigating the incident scene, preparing incident investigation reports, and implementing corrective actions.Requirements: Education: Minimum Grade 12 Computer literate Ability to communicate in English both written and verbal Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of production management experience in an automotive assembly or manufacturing environment. Knowledge of TS16949 Decision and Tasks: Working knowledge of a MRP inventory system: Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills. Computer literate, including proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel/Project. Independent Action: Proven project and time management ability.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $55,000.00-$74,472.00 per yearBenefits:
