Position Summary



Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Production Manager will be responsible for the operations of the production line as well as the associated workforce. He will have to plan and optimize the various aspects of production on a daily basis, as well as ensure product quality and health and safety in operations.



Job Responsibilities



Supervise, supervise and motivate the work team; Ensure that production personnel follow the procedures in place; Ensure the follow-up of employee training and compliance with health and safety standards and procedures; Forecast operational labour needs and assign staff to the right workstations; Participate in the recruitment, onboarding, probation and training process of employees; Conduct appropriate disciplinary or administrative follow-ups with employees under their supervision; Integrate contracts into the line's production sequence to minimize start-ups; Resolve operational issues and production barriers, in collaboration with relevant resources; Update production in the computer system as well as maintain inventories (Nplan, ERP, Epicor); Ensure that process control forms are kept up to date in addition to validating the quality of the products in collaboration with the control/quality technician; Gather production sheets for the client file; Hold weekly meetings on health and safety, KPIs and current progress; Maintain a good work environment that promotes respect, teamwork and productivity; Listen to employees' opinions and suggestions.

Education and experience required



Minimum of 5 years of experience in personnel management in the manufacturing or industrial field; Manufacturing experience of a continuous production line (an asset).
