Steamworks Brewing Company is looking for the right individual to help lead our Production Department's overnight shift. The successful applicant will have a positive attitude, outstanding leadership skills, a strong work ethic, and a drive for maintaining quality and efficiency.This is a full-time position with shifts either from 10pm-6am or 11pm-7am. Training will take place for several months during the morning or afternoon shift rotation. Candidates must have a mechanical aptitude and leadership experience. • Provides leadership and direction for production employees to meet daily production goals.
• Supervise employee performance and offer coaching
• Meet KPIs and quality metrics while keeping accurate records.
• Use of MRP (materials requirement planning) software.
• Ensure employees are following SOP's and Worksafe practices.
• Install, set-up, monitor, inspect, troubleshoot and operate production equipment
• Troubleshoot breakdowns and repair equipment to minimize production downtime
• Assist with maintenance of production equipment
• Communicate repairs and maintenance that require outside contractors
• Work with production manager to improve production operations

Required Skills:

• Mechanical aptitude
• Leadership (1+ years in a supervisory position)
• Troubleshooting / problem solving skills
• Ability to make judgement calls independently when needed
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Driven, self-motivated & task-orientated with strong attention-to-detail
• Strong logistics, record keeping and time management skills

Education and Experience:

• Beverage / manufacturing experience (preferred)

• 5th class power engineering ticket (an asset)
• Forklift certificate (preferred)
• Microsoft office and SAP B1 or MRP/ERP experience. (preferred)
