What we are looking for The Production Supervisor will be an essential farm leader, ensuring the objectives of the operations department are executed daily. Assigned to a specific shift, this role is responsible for coordinating activities on the production floor while ensuring the safety of all personnel. Responsibilities Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Production Supervisor will have the following responsibilities include:

• Ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety regulations
• Demonstrating strong knowledge on KPI\xe2\x80\x99s, GMP, Health and Safety, Food Safety, Quality, HACCP, Waste Rate and Run Rates
• Leading / driving the implementation of lean manufacturing and best practices on the floor (5S, DDS and DMS meetings, Kaizen, OEE, etc)
• Ensuring the completion of cases attainment on the day-to-day operations of the production team.
• Providing leadership, direction, guidance, supervision, evaluation, motivation, and training of production employees.
• Effectively using data to measure and communicate trends; reinforce positive results and initiate corrective actions.
• Ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective use of manpower, equipment, and material resources.
• Scheduling equipment and employees to meet production requirements and deadlines complying with product quality.
• Managing the line job rotation ensure that all responsible employees are trained and following assigned rotations.
• Validating all production records and assisting on writing or preparing work procedures, SOPs, OPLs, etc
• Preparing written communication including shift reports, RCAs, and Continuous Improvement / progress reports.
• Working closely with Maintenance and Engineering to minimize downtime, ensure product safety and quality.
• Providing performance management counseling and/or progressive discipline in a timely fashion when required.
• Assist in reviewing and maintaining the appropriate inventory and stock levels in coordination with procurement.
• Building and maintaining a positive work environment.
• Enforcing compliance with company policies and standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Safety:

• Protect the safety of all VFT\xe2\x80\x99s by following safe work practices.
• Enforce safety compliance of VFTs within organization and lead by example.
• Adhere, safeguard and comply with the Standard Sanitization Operating Procedures, Standard Operation Procedures, Occupational Health and Safety Act and Good Manufacturing Practice at all times without exception
• Adhere to safety rules and regulations at all times without exception
• Follow GoodLeaf\xe2\x80\xafFarms\xe2\x80\xafEmployee Practices\xe2\x80\xafand Food Safety\xe2\x80\xafPolicy and\xe2\x80\xafOccupational\xe2\x80\xafHealth and Safety\xe2\x80\xafPolicy
• Report unsafe and faulty equipment, fixtures, and processes to Operations Manager/Maintenance
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Educational Requirements

• Relevant post-secondary education
• Minimum 3 years of demonstrated success in a manufacturing capacity, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience in managing a safety culture, industrial food manufacturing, GMP, HACCP, SQF, etc
• Proficient knowledge and experience on Lean Manufacturing or CI tools (5S, TPM, TPS and TOC)
• Safe, licensed operation of powered industrial vehicles (an asset)
• Six Sigma certification is an asset;
• Must have experience with HMI\xe2\x80\x99s and process troubleshooting to minimize downtime

• Ability to multi-task, coach, mentor and develop project team members
• Demonstrated leadership and conflict management skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and experience with ERP is an asset.
• Excellent communication skills, and a natural leader who can guide and mentor and a team. (written and oral)
