Who are we? We\xe2\x80\x99re Raise Recruiting, and we\xe2\x80\x99ve partnered with our client, who is a leading manufacturer of large high temperature heat pumps for the commercial and industrial Canadian and US markets. Our client\xe2\x80\x99s air source high temperature heat pumps are designed for the rapidly expanding electrification HVAC market. In addition, they manufacture CO2 heat pumps for the domestic hot water market. Our client is investing heavily in its growth, expanding our production facilities, including climate chambers for development, and testing of new products. Now, they are looking for a detail-oriented, driven, and ambitious Production Supervisor to join their team. Could this be you? Production Supervisor As our new Production Supervisor, you\xe2\x80\x99ll work closely with the Operations Manager to manage the shop floor employees. You will checkup on them and help them to meet deadlines. You\xe2\x80\x99ll work to facilitate the sharing of ideas and encourage engagement amongst all employees. Your straightforward, honest manner will allow you to become a trusted member of the team, and you\xe2\x80\x99ll take a highly active role in helping the company grow and improve. Exceptional ccommunication skills will be essential: you\xe2\x80\x99re not only a dedicated leader and mentor to your team, but also someone who can naturally persuade and engage others, and possess the firm personality to push when necessary. You know what it takes in inspire a team of people, you have an acute sense of how to motivate your people, and you elevate the capabilities of the production team.
Practically speaking you will:
  • Plan, organize, and direct manufacturing operations
  • Schedule and manage parts and production schedules in order to meet deadlines
  • Develop and maintain procedures and practices
  • Engage in building a positive culture, coaching and mentoring, health and safety and continuous improvements
  • Manage the training of all production staff
  • Communicate regularly to all staff on production targets, efficiencies, and continuous improvements
  • Work closely with Operations Manager to ensure seamless production

The Details This is a full-time, permanent position located in Barrie, ON. You\xe2\x80\x99ll earn a competitive base salary, a comprehensive benefits package, voluntary RESP/RPP with 5% match after 1 year employment, and safety shoe and prescription safety glasses allowance. Qualifications
  • 3+ years manufacturing management experience
  • 10+ years industrial mechanical experience
  • 10+ years mechanical inclination experience (working with compressors, copper pipes, etc.)
  • Scheduling, ordering, expediting, parts, and labour experience
  • Proficiency with MS Office required; experience ERP/MRP systems
  • Positive team builder who can manage employees of various skill levels
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
  • Ability to maintain and manage quality standards
  • HVAC setting experience (asset)
  • Machinery building including sheet metal work, piping and refrigeration (asset)
  • Electrical panel building and knowledge of applicable electrical codes (asset)
