We are seeking a motivated and solution-oriented

Production Supervisor

(afternoons) to support our Langley, BC facility and lead the production team in achieving operational excellence through effective leadership, operations planning, and execution.



To be successful in this role, you will bring strong technical knowledge of production operations, exceptional organizational and communication skills, and the ability to plan and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.


General:





Reporting to the Plant Director, the Production Supervisor (afternoons) plays a key role in overseeing daily manufacturing operations to ensure production targets are met safely, efficiently, and on schedule, while upholding quality standards and driving continuous improvement. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for following established food safety and quality procedures.


Responsibilities:




Plan, schedule, and oversee daily production activities to ensure targets, i.e., yield, downtime, quality, and throughput are consistently met. Ensure the availability and proper allocation of resources, including raw and packaging materials, ingredients, labour and others, required for smooth operations. Supervise, lead, and coordinate the production team to achieve departmental objectives and maintain efficient operations. Ensure accuracy and completeness of operational data, workflow tracking, and production documentation within the ERP and other systems (Deacom, Proficient); as well as accurate labour-related records within the HRIS (UKG). Provide leadership, clear direction, and on-the-job training to employees while monitoring individual and team performance to support operational excellence. Initiate and lead skill-building, performance improvement, and team development activities; address conduct, performance, or attendance issues in a timely and respectful manner. Review and verify daily production reports from Lead Hands, ensuring accuracy and preparing end-of-shift summaries. Respond promptly to production issues, troubleshoot process or equipment problems, and coordinate with Maintenance for timely resolution, including generating and following up on maintenance work orders. Act as a role model by consistently demonstrating and reinforcing behaviors that reflect the organization's culture and values: Teamwork, Integrity, Solution-oriented, Performance-driven. Promote a safe and compliant workplace by ensuring adherence to Occupational Health and Safety standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) where applicable, and other regulatory requirements. Ensure full compliance with the organization's policies, procedures, and guidelines, and hold team members accountable for the same. Perform other reasonable duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.

Qualifications:




Post-secondary education in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or Food Science is an asset. Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a production or food manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of production processes, equipment operation, and safety regulations. Knowledge of HACCP principles and Quality Assurance systems. Demonstrated ability to lead teams, resolve conflicts, and foster accountability. Proficiency with ERP systems, production management software, and MS Office Suite. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis (RCA) skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work various shifts, overtime, and weekends as required. High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.

What We Offer:




Hours of work: 5 to 6 days a week (Mon-Fri), typically from 2:30-11:00 pm. Total compensation package includes: + Salary starting from $70,000 and up, depending on the successful candidate's experience, skills, and knowledge. + Annual bonus: based on company financial / operational results, and achievement of personal KPOs.
+ Vacation: 15 paid vacation days per year.
