About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Production Planner/Scheduler to support our growing team. This role is central to ensuring that production runs efficiently, materials are available when needed, and customer orders are fulfilled on time. You'll coordinate closely with production, purchasing, quality, and logistics to keep everything moving smoothly in a fast?paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and long?term production schedules across multiple butter and packaging lines.
Plan production based on customer orders, requirements, capacity, and material availability.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with Purchasing to ensure raw materials, packaging, and ingredients are available.
Adjust schedules proactively in response to delays, shortages, or shifting priorities.
Track work?in?progress and communicate status updates to internal teams.
Collaborate with Production Supervisors to ensure labor and equipment resources are aligned with the schedule.
Identify bottlenecks and recommend improvements to enhance throughput and efficiency.
Maintain accurate records of production timelines, lead times, and capacity planning.
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the operations team.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing coordination.
Experience in food manufacturing, packaging, or a similar regulated environment is preferred.
Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows, capacity planning, and lead?time management.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and shifting deadlines.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for planning, reporting, and data analysis.
Comfortable working in an environment that uses a combination of software tools and manual processes for planning and tracking.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principles.
Ability to analyze data and identify trends or inefficiencies.
