to join our dynamic team in a high-paced printing factory. The successful candidate will play a critical role in coordinating all aspects of production planning, with a strong focus on wide format, screen printing, and Zund operations. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining efficient production schedules, managing inventory levels, and optimizing resource allocation to ensure timely delivery of customer orders. This role requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and a proactive approach to solving production challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Phase I - Wide Format, Screen Print, and Zund Operations
Develop production schedules for wide format, screen print, and Zund areas based on approved PDFs.
Monitor day-to-day workflow and address bottlenecks proactively.
Phase II - Litho, Bindery, and Kitting
Plan and coordinate the second phase of production, including lithographic printing, bindery, and final kitting.
Ensure seamless transitions between production stages to meet tight deadlines.
Planning & Scheduling
Generate and maintain accurate daily and weekly production schedules.
Post and communicate schedules clearly to all stakeholders.
Manage multiple concurrent schedules across various departments.
Confidently use
Accura MIS
(or similar) to generate reports and scheduling tools.
Inventory & Materials Management
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate material availability.
Align equipment and material readiness with scheduled jobs.
Collaborate with procurement and warehouse teams to reduce delays and shortages.
Efficiency & Optimization
Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement in workflow and efficiency.
Recommend and implement process enhancements to reduce waste and minimize costs.
Solve production-related problems in real time to avoid disruptions.
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with press operators, production leads, and management to ensure timelines and quality standards are met.
Provide clear and constructive feedback to team members to improve performance.
Support company goals through proactive communication and team alignment.
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
3+ years' experience in production planning, preferably in a printing or manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in production planning software, preferably
Accura MIS
.
Strong understanding of printing processes, including wide format, screen printing, litho, and bindery.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Analytical thinker with a continuous improvement mindset.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to provide constructive feedback and lead cross-functional coordination.
Preferred:
Post-secondary education in Production Management, Supply Chain, Printing Technology, or related field.
Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma practices.
Knowledge of kitting and final assembly processes.
Working Conditions
On-site role in a busy production environment.
Must be comfortable navigating between office and factory floor
Occasional extended hours may be required to meet deadlines or resolve production issues.
