The Opportunity
The Production Operator, under the direction of the Production Manager, is responsible for executing daily production schedules while strictly adhering to safety and quality control standards. This role ensures the continuous flow of operations, monitors equipment for optimal performance, and maintains meticulous records to produce high-quality feed products for our customers. Successful candidates must be physically capable of performing strenuous labor, standing for long periods, and safely lifting heavy objects.
Your Impact
Maintain strict compliance with all company policies, including ensuring the proper use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
Operate and tend production equipment, following all manufacturing and processing procedures to ensure high standards of workmanship and efficiency
Ensure production outputs consistently meet safety, quality, and on-time delivery standards for customer satisfaction and cost control
Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on all equipment and tools to ensure optimal operational status.
Monitor, detect, and safely resolve equipment malfunctions and out-of-tolerance machining by adjusting controls to maintain product quality
Report and record any defective products
Maintain a clean working area free from dirt and debris between tasks and at the end of the day.
Recommend measures to improve productivity, product quality, and safety
Your Experience, Skills & Education
High school diploma or equivalent, vocational or technical training is an asset
Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is an asset.
Familiarity with quality control processes and safety regulations in manufacturing is an asset
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
Basic computer skills for data logging to input and track production data.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
Good physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy items when necessary.
Ability to operate required equipment, such as a fork lift, in a safe and responsible manner
Ability to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment
Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
