The Role

We're looking for a Production Manager to own the flow of work in our wallpaper print operation - from approved order through to packed and shipped product. This is a key role that acts as a hub and facilitator between the production team and customers, to ensure orders are fulfilled and customers are happy.

You'll focus on building and maintaining the production schedule, coordinating with the team on the floor, and ensuring every order is packaged and shipped accurately and on time. You won't be the technical print operator or equipment maintenance lead - your job is to keep work organized, priorities clear, and orders moving.

Key Responsibilities

Production planning & scheduling

Build and maintain the daily and weekly schedule of print jobs based on orders and deadlines. Coordinate with the production team so everyone knows what needs to run next. Balance rush jobs with standard work and align timelines with sales / customer service.
Job coordination & quality at handoff

Translate approved orders into clear production tasks or tickets. Confirm that jobs going into production match what was sold (design, quantity, pattern, scale). Check finished jobs at handoff to packaging for basic quality and completeness.
Packaging & shipping

Oversee packing of all orders to ensure they are complete, correctly labelled, and well presented. Use Shopify and shipping software to: Generate packing slips and shipping labels. Ensure addresses and order details are accurate. Mark orders as fulfilled and attach tracking information. Ensure shipping labels and paperwork are accurate for each order. Coordinate pickups and shipments with carriers; help resolve shipping issues.
Communication & improvement

Lead short daily check-ins with the team about priorities and potential delays. Keep customer service/sales informed about ship dates and any changes. Track simple KPIs (on-time shipments, reprints, packing/shipping errors) and use them to improve processes.
Customer support

Handle production and fullfillment-related customer support inquiries (ex. shipping inquiries, material information questions) Monitor, respond and provide timely feedback to support our customer inbox and inquiries Escalate issues appropriately and in a timely manner when required Escalate sensitive turnaround times for our trade partners

About You

3+ years in a production, manufacturing, or operations role (print, signage, textiles, or similar is a plus). Experience working with Shopify and Trello (or similar e-commerce platforms) and shipping/fulfilment software. Strong organizer who enjoys planning, scheduling, and keeping many moving parts aligned. Comfortable working closely with a production floor team (but not necessarily as the machine operator). Good attention to detail - you catch mismatched orders, missing items, and labelling issues. Clear communicator who can set priorities, follow up, and push for realistic timelines when needed. Confident using spreadsheets and basic tools to track schedules and metrics.
