VDK Group Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Plant Production Manager to join our growing team. This key leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining quality standards, and leading a team focused on excellence and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will have strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage a fast-paced production environment. What You'll Do
Oversee and manage all daily plant production activities to meet established goals for safety, quality, and productivity
Plan, schedule, and coordinate workflow to ensure timely and efficient manufacturing output
Lead, mentor, and develop production team members, fostering a positive and high-performing workplace culture
Monitor and optimize production processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste
Collaborate with other departments (Purchasing, Engineering, Quality Control, and Logistics) to support operational efficiency and problem-solving
Track production metrics and prepare reports for management on key performance indicators
Implement and maintain continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing principles
Participate in strategic planning and contribute to long-term operational goals
What You'll Bring
Proven experience in a production management or supervisory role within a manufacturing environment (preferably in the door, window, or related building products industry)
Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others
Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities
Solid understanding of production processes, workflow optimization, and quality control practices
Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement process improvements
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments
Proficiency with production management software and Microsoft Office Suite
Post-secondary education in manufacturing, industrial engineering, or a related field is an asset
