Job description:

We are seeking a dedicated, motivated Production Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate has a minimum 1 year of experience working in a sign shop and the will to learn fast using some of the best tools and equipment in the industry. You will play a crucial role in bringing our clients' visions to life with precision and expertise.

Responsibilities:

Production Oversight & Equipment Management

Oversee all phases of production, including signs, sandwich boards, decals, and other shop output. Oversee bagging, cutting, and printing production processes to ensure efficient workflow and on-time order completion. Manage daily operations of printers, cutters, laminators, and related production equipment, ensuring proper calibration, maintenance, and safe operation. Supervise preparation of materials and surfaces for vinyl application or print finishing, ensuring high-quality standards are met. Monitor and direct staff performing trimming, finishing, wrapping, and other production tasks to ensure accuracy and professional results.

Workflow, Quality Control & Project Management

Review, interpret, and distribute work orders, design specifications, and production guidelines to ensure clear understanding across the team. Implement quality-control checks throughout production, including inspections, measurements, and required documentation. Schedule production tasks, prioritize workloads, and adjust staffing or equipment usage to meet project timelines and customer deadlines.

Shipping, Receiving & Organization

Coordinate all shipping and receiving activities, including inspecting incoming materials, verifying inventory, and preparing outgoing orders for delivery. Maintain an organized production floor, including tools, equipment, workstations, inventory, and supply storage.

Safety & Support

Ensure adherence to all safety procedures, including proper use of ladders, equipment, and compliance with overall shop safety standards. Provide hands-on support when needed for complex jobs from the installation team.

Qualifications:

Experience and certificates are an asset. Ability to work with precision and have good attention to detail. Excellent problem-solving skills, self- motivated, and a willingness to adapt and pivot accordingly. Ability to work independently, and as part of a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to lift and move heavy materials.
