Position: Production Manager - High Volume Manufacturing Experience Required
Location: Mississauga
Job Type: Permanent

We are looking to hire a dynamic and driven Production Manager with experience working in a high volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment for a great client located in Mississauga. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful incumbent will be responsible for managing the manufacturing and delivery of production orders, while ensuring highest level of output and minimizing costs with the dedication and cooperation and support of the team and other departments.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Be responsible for all production processes and teams within the plant
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act to minimize injuries and promote awareness
- Plan, review and execute production schedules for the job
- Set, plan and meet all production targets and goals
- Provide leadership in the production area (goal setting, reviews, ongoing feedback-formal and informal basis), ensuring all reports are aware of what they are required to achieve and how they are performing against targets
- Work closely with Operations Manager to ensure proper allocation of all resources to meet customer needs through: optimal forecasting, production planning, scheduling and ordering or materials
- Coordinate with maintenance department regarding the scheduling of plant shutdowns, supporting preventative maintenance programs
- Develop, revise and/or implement SOPs for production and ensure compliance and adherence at all times
- Identify opportunities and lead efforts to drive continuous improvement
- Develop and or monitor relevant KPIs against targets to maintain an insight on production performance, make any necessary recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Maximize (OEE) overall

Qualifications:

- College Diploma or other post-secondary education with preference for Bachelors\' Degree
- At least 5 to 7 years of production experience
- At least 5 years of experience as a production supervisor/manager at a manufacturing plant
- Must have experience working with manufacturing operations of 300+ employees
- Demonstrated experience with Lean Six Sigma, OEE calculation, KPIs implementation and reporting
- Proven experience with continuous improvement, budgeting, reporting and production standards
- Proven leadership to successfully lead a team
- Ability to work in a fast paced, changing, and flexible environment
- Highly analytical, familiarity with OEE reports, labour and material variances
- Strong problem solving ability
- Exceptional organizational, time management skills with attention to detail
- Experience with production planning, controls and instrumentation
- Must be available during off hours for emergencies
