Job Description

Manages all aspects of the production department through teams consisting of Team Leaders (Supervisors) and Team Members (line associates). This position is tied heavily to the other departments and must be able to communicate effectively with various groups in the organization. It is imperative that this person possess great leadership ability and demonstrates positive leadership in all interactions. This role is accountable for a 24hr, 7 day/week operation and is the point of escalation if/when issues arise.
Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for all aspects of the Production Department, which includes: following safety policies, achieving food safety and product quality requirements, converting raw materials into finished products within cost targets. Manages supervisors and team members in the consistent running of the various food processes through coaching and instruction. Facilitates all necessary training to support delivering the required KPI's (see expectations below) Responsible for ensuring consistent execution of policies and procedures through Team Leaders, and working with other managers. Responsible for ensuring production schedule is met to deliver service expectations. Must be able to understand the impact of scheduling on other departments, and be able to effectively communicate and lead discussions to resolve scheduling conflicts that arise from downtime, test runs, sanitation, and other obstacles that may develop. Develops and manages the departmental budget for material usage, labor, supplies, and training Develop and implement capabilities of continuous improvement tools and methods, mentoring others in leadership of improvement projects (Lean, Six Sigma) and promote a structured problem-solving approach engaging the team. Ensure goals are met for key performance indicators of operations including safety, quality, service, and cost. Share operations goals and guidelines for achieving the goals with the Production Supervisors Partner with HR, Safety, Maintenance and Quality to ensure requirements are met. Must be open to receiving performance feedback and be able to react to the feedback in a positive manner Performs other duties as assigned.

$86,855.00 - $159,414.00
