PRODUCTION MANAGER - Perfumes, Health & Beauty Products
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead and oversee daily operations in our perfume, health, and beauty product manufacturing facility. This role will manage production planning, team performance, quality control, and coordination with procurement, logistics, and sales to ensure smooth, efficient, and compliant production cycles.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan, organize, and oversee daily production schedules to meet demand forecasts and delivery timelines.
Supervise production teams, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Manage raw material availability in coordination with procurement and inventory teams.
Implement and monitor Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Quality Control (QC) standards.
Collaborate with marketing and product development for new formulations, testing, and packaging.
Optimize production efficiency, reduce waste, and improve line performance through continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Kaizen, 5S).
Track key production metrics (yield, downtime, throughput, and others).
Ensure all health, safety, and environmental regulations are followed.
Oversee equipment maintenance and coordinate with technical teams for preventive maintenance schedules.
Report regularly to senior management on production performance, challenges, and improvement plans.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
5+ years of experience in production or operations management within cosmetics, personal care, or related manufacturing industries.
Strong understanding of GMP, ISO 22716, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Proven leadership experience managing production teams in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent problem-solving, organization, and communication skills.
Proficiency with NetSuite ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Experience in perfume, skincare, or beauty product formulation and packaging is a strong asset.
Forklift certification and/or experience is a plus.
SALARY AND LOCATION
This is a permanent full-time role (40 hours per week) based at the company's warehouses on the outskirts of Ottawa, Ontario (K7C 3P2).
Salary will be determined based on experience.
