Job Description

Overview





The Production Manager is responsible for leading day-to-day manufacturing operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness in all areas of production. This role oversees team leadership, performance management, planning, and continuous improvement. The Operations Manager develops and implements operational procedures, trains employees, and ensures that production schedules are executed to meet customer expectations.

Main Responsibilities



1. Leadership & Team Development




Lead, supervise, and support shop employees. Foster a positive workplace culture built on accountability, safety, and collaboration. Conduct training programs to build employee skills and improve performance.

2. Manufacturing Planning & Scheduling




Develop and oversee manufacturing plans to ensure efficient use of resources. Manage production scheduling to meet project timelines and customer delivery requirements.

3. Procedures & Process Improvement




Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance. Continuously review workflows to identify bottlenecks and implement improvements. Drive initiatives to reduce costs and increase productivity.

4. Operational Performance & KPIs




Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track production efficiency, quality, and delivery targets. Maintain and optimize the manufacturing dashboard for real-time performance monitoring. Provide regular operational reports to the VP of Operations.

5. Budgeting & Cost Control




Manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources. Track operating expenses and recommend cost-reduction strategies without compromising quality.

6. Inventory & Resource Management




Oversee inventory control processes to minimize waste and maintain stock accuracy. Ensure proper use of Zoho Inventory and other ERP tools to track materials and supplies. Work with procurement to secure competitive vendor pricing. Oversee the company's equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and optimal functionality. Schedule preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

7. Quality Assurance & Compliance




Ensure signage products meet internal quality standards and customer specifications. Conduct inspections and implement corrective actions when needed. Enforce compliance with health & safety regulations.



Skills & Competencies




Strong leadership, training, and team development skills. Expertise in manufacturing planning, scheduling, and inventory control. Proficiency in Zoho (Projects, Inventory, Analytics, CRM). Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills. Financial management and budgeting capabilities. Knowledge of quality assurance and health & safety standards. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.



Qualifications




Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineer , Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Construction Management or related field Minimum 3-5 years' experience in operations or production management, ideally in the

signage or manufacturing industry.

Proven experience in developing procedures, training employees, and implementing operational systems. Demonstrated ability to manage KPIs, production schedules, and budgets.
