Production Manager

Brampton, ON, CA, Canada

Job Description

Jones Healthcare Group - Where Innovation Meets Purpose!

Why This Role Matters

This role shapes culture - it's the heart of our plant.

It influences quality.

It keeps commitments to customers and to the teams doing the work.

If you want a leadership role where your impact is visible every day, and where how you lead matters, just as much as what you deliver, we'd love to meet you.

As our

Production Manager

, you'll be the connective tissue of the plant. You will mentor and lead people, balance priorities, navigate complexity and competing demands, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams. You'll hold the bar high - for performance, accountability, and cGMP excellence - while leading with empathy, clarity, and respect.

If you believe strong results come from strong relationships, and that great leaders can be both decisive and kind, this role was built for you.

What You'll Be Accountable For:

Leading with Impact

Build, coach, and develop a high-performing production team where colleagues feel supported, challenged, and accountable. Provide clear, candid feedback when needed, while maintaining strong, respectful relationships. Create engagement through consistent communication, regular team meetings, and shared ownership of results. Identify, mentor, and grow talent through hands-on coaching and structured development.

Owning Production Execution

Lead day-to-day packaging operations to ensure products are delivered safely, on time, and fully compliant with cGMP requirements. Translate production plans into executable schedules that balance customer demand, labour, equipment, and quality. Stay ahead of issues; proactively managing downtime, staffing challenges, and shifting priorities.

Connecting Teams & Driving Collaboration

Partner closely with Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Continuous Improvement, and other teams to keep work flowing and problems solved. Lead daily production meetings that align priorities, surface risks early, and drive clear actions. Provide operational input on labour, equipment, and routing for new quotes and product changes. Partner with Maintenance on preventative maintenance, calibration, and spare-parts strategies.

Driving Performance & Continuous Improvement

Track and analyze KPIs, identify trends, and turn data into practical improvements. Use operational insight and data to support equipment optimization and informed decision-making. Implement productivity controls and cost-saving initiatives without compromising safety or quality. Champion a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and learning.

Building a Safe, Audit-Ready Operation

Act as a visible safety leader, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and reinforcing safe behaviors every day. Ensure the production area is always clean, organized, and inspection-ready. Lead training and onboarding on GMPs, SOPs, documentation, and safety practices.
