Job Description

This position works closely with the production, manufacturing, quality assurance and engineering functions to ensure all required material and components are available to support the Master Production Plan.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Analyze and process MRP action messages to create shop floor work order packages and supplier shipment release schedules

Perform cycle counts, as well as inventory and labour transactions on MAPICS systems

Inventory accuracy and investigation of discrepancies

Contact outside vendors to expedite incoming material shipments, and create and maintain priority lists

Qualifications:

High School or equivalent. Post-secondary education is an asset

Experience in an MRP based production environment

Good understanding of manufacturing processes

Previous experience in production coordinating

Previous experience working with inventory

Knowledge of farm equipment is a definite asset

Clear communication skills

Ability to meet deadlines in a busy work environment

Computer skills. Experience with AS400 is a definite asset

Frequent trips to production floor
