Position: Production Engineer CO-OP Term: 8-12 months Location: Milton (Travel to other Quarries required) Start Date: May 2023
As a Production intern (EIT) you will work in a fast paced, multidisciplinary environment to complete a range of Engineering tasks and project co-ordination through the application of professional engineering principles and practices. You will have exposure to different areas within the group such as operations, safety management, environmental and production planning/reporting. Your position will require you work closely with the Production EIT, Site Superintendent/Manager and Area Manager
What you will do:

• Assist in, audit and supervise the active blasting operations at multiple sites
• Drive between locations as required in a company provided vehicle
• Perform daily inspections of blasting operations and document them as required
• Assist with the mine planning and mine panning process
• Assist with and input daily production reports
• Assist and lead safety documentation onsite (JHSC, inspections, JRAs etc\xe2\x80\xa6)
• Assist with performing reserve calculations at DFA sites
• Assist with preparing and delivering reserve data for DFA sites
• Develop SOPs and SWP for site operations
• Maintain a safe working environment by promoting a strong safety culture, enforcing all safety guidelines and ensuring compliance under legislation and Corporate requirements
• Embed Corporate Social Responsibility in day to day thinking and actions

• Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering, Geotechnical or Mining Engineering program
• Related experience (work or school)
• Aptitude to learn
• Valid full class G driver\xe2\x80\x99s license.

• Detail-oriented, highly organized and works effectively with shifting priorities and rapid change.
• Effectively examines events, issues and problems to generate optimal solutions in a timely manner.
