TITLE



Production Electrician - Directly reporting to the Shop Foreman

SUMMARY:



The Production Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems in our custom-built mobile health vehicles. Working closely with production, engineering, and technical teams, this hands-on role ensures reliable, high-quality electrical integration. The ideal candidate is a certified electrician

(Journeyman preferred)

with strong knowledge of electrical systems, the ability to read schematics, and experience with automation, PLCs, or industrial equipment. A focus on safety, precision, and teamwork is essential to succeed in this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES



Electrical Installation & Integration



Install, wire, and connect electrical systems and components in specialty vehicles (lighting, power, medical/mobility equipment). Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and build documents. Support integration of auxiliary power systems, inverters, battery management systems, and low-voltage automation. Ensure compliance with electrical codes, internal build standards, and safety protocols. Assist with end-of-line testing and support final inspections before delivery.

Troubleshooting & Diagnostics



Diagnose and resolve electrical issues quickly to keep production on schedule. Adapt to challenges during builds and offer practical solutions to maintain quality and flow. Maintain clear and accurate documentation of installations, inspections, and repairs.

Cross-Team Collaboration



Communicate with Shop Foreman, engineers, and production team to meet build specifications. Work proactively with Quality Assurance and other departments to flag and address any electrical integration concerns. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts for layout, processes, and component selection.

Work Conditions & Safety



Regularly lift up to 75 lbs, work in confined spaces, under vehicles, or overhead. Wear required PPE: steel-toe boots, gloves, safety glasses, and protective gear. Operate in loud, active shop settings with occasional exposure to odors or outdoor elements.

You quickly step into the role with confidence, learning our specialized vehicle electrical systems, tools, and safety protocols. Within a short time, you're independently reading electrical schematics, running wiring harnesses, installing power systems, and integrating components like inverters, lighting, and mobility equipment ensuring every installation meets high compliance and safety standards.

You establish yourself as a reliable and detail-oriented team member, trusted to complete full vehicle electrical builds with minimal oversight. Your work is neat, efficient, and well-documented, and you communicate clearly with the Shop Foreman and production team to keep projects moving smoothly.

Within a few months, your precision, professionalism, and problem-solving mindset set a strong example in the shop. Your electrical installations are consistent, well-labeled, and inspection-ready. Vehicles leave the facility safe, fully functional, and built to the high standards that enable better health access for communities across the country.
