We are currently seeking a Construction Division Manager who will oversee the smooth execution of all construction-related projects. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our projects run efficiently, safely, and within budget, all while delivering outstanding service to our clients and partners in Prince Edward Island.Key ResponsibilitiesAs the Construction Division Manager, you will:Operations Management
Collaborate with the Operations Manager and project managers to create and revise master schedules for production staff, ensuring timelines are met for each new project.
Maintain strong cost control and cycle time management to improve profit margins, while allocating resources effectively for all projects.
Engage with project managers, production staff, adjusters, sub-contractors, vendors, and clients to share project-specific details, resolve challenges, and maintain workflow.
Review work requests to ensure clarity, accuracy, and proper authorization, while ensuring realistic completion dates and lead times.
Support the creation and maintenance of construction production on-call rotation lists, ensuring there is always coverage for after-hours emergencies.
Team Leadership & Development
Provide leadership and direction to the construction team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Manage staff performance through regular feedback, training, and development, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Deliver training on Health & Safety standards, ensuring all personnel adhere to these crucial guidelines.
Safety & Compliance
Prioritize the health and safety of our team and clients by actively participating in health and safety committees and ensuring workplace safety standards are upheld.
Customer Satisfaction
Maintain a high level of client satisfaction through clear communication and a commitment to high standards of workmanship, ensuring each project meets or exceeds expectations.
Build strong relationships with clients, property owners, insurance adjusters, and other key stakeholders, ensuring a smooth restoration process from start to finish.
Qualifications
Education: College diploma required; Degree or diploma in Management/Operations Management preferred.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of managerial or supervisory experience; prior experience in construction, restoration, or related fields will be an asset.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS Excel; experience with R365 software is a plus.
