Position Description:The Cell Leader is responsible for oversight of the daily activities of the production line by providing guidance and direction to employees assigned to the production line. This position ensures that the team is aware of the production timelines, provides status updates throughout the day and troubleshoots bottlenecks on the line.Responsibilities:

• Set and follow Leader Standard Work daily
• Complete Start-Up Checks
• Assess manpower and break coverage continually with Team Lead and other Cell Leaders
• Conduct daily huddles with team to inform on progress and demands
• Regularly update cell board and dash boards and review operator efficiencies
• Utilize KPI metrics to compare actuals and to foster continuous improvement
• Support operators with material needs, upcoming jobs and continuous coaching
• Administer and support cross training initiatives
• Adhere to Cam Tran safety policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Experience leading a team in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of the product and plant operations
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge in lean manufacturing systems, Production Control and Quality System

Skills:

• Ability to communicate effectively with others
• Well organized and able to make independent judgments
• Able to work in a team environment

Measures of Performance:

• Line output \xe2\x80\x93 OTIF
• Safety \xe2\x80\x93 Observations, Near Misses
• Quality \xe2\x80\x93 FTQ \xe2\x80\x93percentage of units built correctly the first time
• Efficiency
• Evaluates the amount of labor required to build a standard unit and shows change over time.
