About us Tyromer Windsor Inc. is a cleantech company that focuses on creating a circular economy in the tire and rubber industry. Our world-leading technology developed at the University of Waterloo converts (devulcanizes) scrap tire rubber into a more valuable form of rubber which can then be reused to make new tires again. Our team collaborates and partners with industry leaders around the world who share our vision to bring an environmentally sustainable and financially viable solution to the scrap tire problem. PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Part-time hours: 40 per week Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour Schedule:
- 6+ months experience in a manufacturing, industrial/shop floor, packaging/assembly, or manual work environment preferred
- Mechanically inclined; use of manual hand and power tools
- Physically able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50lbs, perform repetitive overhead reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling
- Possess effective communication and organizational skills; English fluent, written and oral
- Work well in a team and independently (unsupervised at times)
- Attention to detail
- Responsible and dependable, no absenteeism
- Ability to read instructions and take directions
- Help set up the production facility
- Cleaning and prep work for trials
- Participation in trial production runs
- Moving, organizing, cleaning of production material
- Must have completed Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Must have safety shoes/steel-toed boots
- Must be a Canadian citizen or legally able to work in Canada
- Reliable transportation
