Overview: The Production Assistant is responsible for coordinating all internal dailies sessions, taking notes, and the maintenance of our internal production database. They also assist with the movement of shots between teams and departments and communicate status updates to ensure the delivery of shots on schedule. Provides administrative support to the production management team and supervisors.

Responsibilities include:

• Regular reporting on progress to Department Management and Production Leadership as needed
• Prepare internal and external reviews and take notes
• Assist editors with conform maintenance
• Transfer assets across SDFX Studios facilities
• Communicate with department teams, and answer any shot-specific questions that may arise
• Ensure internal shot tracking database is up to date.
• Support coordinators and department staff with daily tracking and upkeep.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in film, art, communications, or related field.
• Proven production experience in established facility is a plus.
• Demonstrable experience in a highly technical/dynamic department is a plus.
• Must be diligent, resourceful, meticulous, and able to thrive under pressure.
• Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail coupled with exceptional people skills and the ability to work within a team environment.
• Strong project management skills and a sensitivity towards deadline related deliveries.
• Must be able to handle multiple changing priorities in a dynamic environment and be able to understand how this impacts departmental schedules.
• Able to communicate effectively across multiple teams with excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills are required - Microsoft Office Applications such as Word, Excel, Office.
• Knowledge of Nuke is a plus.
• Knowledge and understanding of stereoscopic production and 2D/3D conversion a plus.
• High speed internet required for employment
