Position Overview:

This position is Night Shift -4:30pm- 12:30am

This position will assist in all phases of the production process. At all times will maintain a strong commitment to quality and safety while adhering to companies' QA/QC standards. Follows procedures for processing and maintains a high standard for quality of output and effective time management.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist with incoming and outgoing shipments, including inspecting, staging, and verifying/signing of goods. Assist in the tracking and paperwork of work orders. Responsible for keeping the premises clean; the machinery sanitized and all work areas clear and tidy as per the companies' SOP's. This includes physical cleaning and sanitizing of production areas. Work in accordance with the companies' work safety procedures. Follow production scheduling as advised by team leader to ensure highest efficiency possible. Ensure companies' SOP's are followed and accurate high-quality work is done at all times. Assist in ensuring adequate inventory levels; assists in inventory counts. Assist in generating packing slips, weigh bills and other paperwork as required. Assist in processing claims to freight companies for receipt of damaged goods. Read and interpret formulas. Assist in R&D as required by supervisor. Prepare materials for manufacturing according to current standard operating procedures. This involves premixing of ingredients. Blending, encapsulating, packaging, labelling and assembling items in master cases. Set up and operate production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures. Follow all health and safety requirements as laid out by the health & Safety Committee.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

High school graduation or equivalent in experience

Excellent timekeeping and clean and tidy work ethics

Ability to apply instructions without difficulty

Must have good organizational skills and an ability to work unsupervised

Basic computer skills or a willingness to learn

Good written and verbal communication skills

Able to lift 10 to 70 lbs.

Must be a team player with good interpersonal and relationship skills
