The

Product Development, Product Specialist

role is key to supporting and managing key products as part of our Group Benefit Pharmaceutical strategy. This role is instrumental in assisting in developing our strategies and business models that advance the GB Pharmaceutical Health Care mandate. Working with key stakeholders, the purpose of this position is to execute on the product roadmap to successfully launch products for Group Benefits to market while improving tools for plan sponsors, plan members, plan advisors and business development.

What will you do?



Identify and assesses solution opportunities (new or modified) and develop product tactics, considering client needs, competitive intelligence, and market disruption, and have the ability to execute on the product vision Contribute to the development of the GB Pharmaceutical strategy by recommending features and services required to maximize the client and product value proposition Input into product delivery using a lean MVP (minimum viable product) while participating in development of strategies, business models, and business cases (where applicable) to execute delivery of the initiatives Analyze trends in results and client insights to recommend strategies for ongoing benefits realization following implementation of initiatives Accountable for the management and delivery of product initiatives by supporting: planning; business value based prioritization; resource & stakeholder management; execution; issue escalation and resolution; risk & financial management; communication and KPI management Nurture effective relationships with internal stakeholders to evolve product strategies and business/product models (e.g. partners within other Business Units, Legal, Risk, and Operations) Foster relationships with external health care stakeholders and potential strategic partners to evolve opportunity analysis and business model development

What do you need to succeed?



Strong client focus and understanding of the Group Insurance market; 2-5 years' relevant experience Subject matter expertise: deep knowledge of the Group Benefits business with specific knowledge in pharmaceutical/drug benefits University degree, ideally in Health related studies, Marketing or Business Presentation skills with the ability to influence; experience with launching products to market Good understanding of the financial dynamics surrounding the products Innovative, creative, collaborative and works very well in a team environment As this position is posted in several locations, we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required

for the frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada or worldwide.

Reliability Status



As a condition of the role, the successful candidate must obtain a Government of Canada Reliability Status security clearance through Sun Life.

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
