About the Role



We are seeking a passionate and experienced

Product Owner (PO)

to join our team and drive the vision, roadmap, and execution of innovative digital products in the Media & Entertainment industry. The ideal candidate has a strong background in content management, streaming platforms, or media technologies, with proven expertise in translating business goals into actionable product requirements.

Key Responsibilities



Act as the

voice of the customer

and champion user needs throughout the product lifecycle. Define and maintain the

product backlog

, ensuring it is clear, prioritized, and aligned with business strategy. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, QA, data, and business stakeholders) to deliver high-quality features and enhancements. Partner with stakeholders to identify new opportunities, define product vision, and create roadmaps for digital media products (e.g., streaming platforms, OTT services, content distribution systems). Write

user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications

with a focus on customer value and ROI. Ensure timely delivery of product increments and manage trade-offs between scope, schedule, and quality. Monitor and analyze product performance using

data and KPIs

to make informed decisions. Stay ahead of

industry trends

in media, digital content consumption, personalization, and monetization.

Qualifications & Experience



5-7 years of professional experience as a

Product Owner / Product Manager

. Strong background in

Media & Entertainment, OTT, Streaming, or Digital Content platforms

. Proven experience managing the lifecycle of consumer-facing products (from discovery to delivery). Solid understanding of

Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban)

and hands-on experience working with distributed teams. Strong knowledge of digital content workflows, metadata, DRM, ad-tech, and monetization models. Excellent skills in

requirements gathering, backlog grooming, and stakeholder management

. Analytical mindset with experience using

data analytics tools (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Tableau, etc.)

. Outstanding communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Skills



Experience with

media supply chain systems, CMS, or content distribution platforms

. Familiarity with

cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)

and API-driven integrations. Exposure to

AI/ML-based personalization

or recommendation engines in the media space. Certification as a

Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or SAFe PO/PM.

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $65.00-$70.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Toronto, ON M5C 1N9
