About the Position
ALS Geoanalytics is a global leader in mining data analysis & consulting services. Our advanced solutions integrate geoscience expertise with AI and machine learning to accelerate mining insights across the exploration and production lifecycle.

Reporting to the Director of Platform & Interfaces, the Product Owner of LithoLens will lead the development and delivery of our geological logging and predictive automation platform. This role is ideal for a geologist with extensive drill core logging experience who is ready to shape the future of digital geology.
You'll work closely with geoscientists, machine learning engineers, and software developers to define product features, prioritize development sprints, and ensure our solutions can improve geological efforts for ALS clients worldwide.
Specific Responsibilities
Assume product ownership of LithoLens Product Line:
Develop and articulate detailed product requirements and roadmaps, aligning with business objects and customer needs
Translate geoscientific workflows into scalable digital features
Define and prioritize the product backlog, collaborating closely with engineering teams to ensure timely and quality delivery of features
Conduct market research and maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape to anticipate trends, identify opportunities, and drive product innovation and enhancement.
Monitor and report on product performance, making recommendations for improvements and tracking data integrity across product releases
Provide exceptional customer support and consulting services by gathering and analyzing feedback, identifying trends and insights, and developing engagement strategies to enhance user satisfaction.
Conduct regular presentations and demos to stakeholders and customers
Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Experience in client engagement and relationship building
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both customers and internal teams
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Understanding of product management principles, ideally with experience in overseeing a product line (preferred)
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (preferred)
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a geoscience field is required, a Master's degree is preferred
Industry experience in mining and exploration
Lots of quality experience logging drill core in various geological environments! 5+ years preferred
Experience with geological data management and 3D modelling software
Familiarity with geospatial data analytics and mapping tools
Exposure to AI and machine learning applications in mining (preferred)
Physical Demands
Manual dexterity to perform intricate and/or repetitive tasks such as keyboarding.
Ability to use and view a computer screen for up to 8 hours per day.
Ability to sit at a desk and do general office work, which includes periodic sedentary responsibilities.
Our benefits include:
An estimated annual salary ranging from $90,000 - $110,000 CAD at the time of posting. Individual compensation is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training.
