The Opportunity:

eCapital seeks a Product Owner with technical expertise help enhance eCapital\xe2\x80\x99s platforms as part of the Support and Operations stream. In this role, you will maximize the value eCapital derives from the use of our internal and customer facing systems by leading and implementing strategic enhancements.

We are seeking someone passionate about systems and tools to join us. We want someone that will own a technical product and take a holistic view in developing it to help our sales, marketing, and client services teams wow customers (internal and external) with each interaction. Through your work building out technical systems you will work closely with product managers, stakeholders, and our technology team and have direct responsibility for enhancements enabling the company to reach our growth objectives.

This is a fast-paced environment with stretch deliverables. To be successful you must be able to manage multiple competing priorities, have a resilient ability to engage with business owners, and leadership skills to achieve the most from your role.

Product Ownership

  • Own the product and independently drive requirements gathering, analyze, and develop functional solution design with business owners
  • Working with Product Managers to define vision and product strategies.
  • Effectively communicate the roadmap and backlog of the product. You will be key in influencing the direction of the product while bring consensus across all stakeholders.
  • Build high-quality, functional prototypes that convey, prove, and advance the web and mobile products and applications.
  • Collaborate with leadership and key stakeholders from concept through to launch including evaluating technical solutions.
  • Work with designers, management, internal business partners, delivery manager, engineers and other subject matter experts.
  • Participate in the full lifecycle of product development; including ideation, design, development, implementation and validation.
  • Manage risks and issue tracking throughout projects.
  • Act as primary day-to-day point of contact for the internal customer and the operational aspects of the project. Focused on building strong internal customer relationships.

  • Agile Methodology: Familiarity with agile methodology and the ability to work closely with the engineering team to ensure the product is developed and delivered on time. Also, the ability to work in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
  • Product Backlog Management: Experience in maintaining and prioritizing the product backlog, and defining and refining user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Product Road Mapping: The ability to develop and maintain a product roadmap that aligns with the product vision and business goals.
  • Stakeholder Understanding: The ability to understand customer needs, preferences, and behaviors, and translate those needs into epics, user stories, and requirements that is consumable at the team level.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and business stakeholders.
  • Risk Management: The ability to identify and manage risks, and make trade-offs between features, and timelines.
  • Continuous Improvement: A commitment to continuous improvement and the ability to incorporate stakeholder feedback into the product development process.
  • Technical Understanding: A strong technical background and the ability to understand technical requirements and limitations.
End User Support
  • Provide quick and reliable support to end users.
  • Troubleshoot and fix system issues and triage bugs with Engineering team.
  • Deliver training to new and existing users.
Requirements
  • Must have Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Business.
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a business analyst or product owner.
  • Direct experience applying Agile Development concepts, practices, and procedures is a must.
  • Understand and fluent usage across a broad spectrum of technologies including mobile technologies, API, security, and payments.
  • Strong creative and conceptual thinker as well as strong attention to detail and organization skills.
  • Project management experience a plus.
  • Experience in financial services (lending) industry, a big plus.
  • Experience in start-up environment preferred.
