You will be working closely with the entire platform team (product management, product design, development, data science, quality assurance, and user research). As MakerSights is a startup, you will also sometimes work with others within the organization, including our support team, customer success team, customer operations team, and sales/marketing teams. This role is remote friendly. Our engineering team is primarily based in/around Vancouver, BC, Canada if you want to have access to in-person working. We are open to hiring within Canada and the US. ABOUT THE ROLE As a Product Operations Specialist at M/S, your job is to help drive efficiency across what we call the platform team. The exciting long term impact you will have includes developing processes that ensure we can operate effectively and drive impact for our customers. Your role will include a lot of communication, troubleshooting, documentation, and process design. Additionally, you\'ll be expected to support some ongoing processes within the platform team. This will include some technical troubleshooting of logged defects (bugs) coming in from our customers, customer facing teams, or QA. You will help document the current state of the product to alleviate common misunderstandings or repeated questions. Over time you will be expected to also support documentation of requirements for future features in collaboration with the product managers. With a cross-team perspective, you\'ll be expected to help support inter-team dependencies and ensure we all meet timelines for delivery, especially when we need support from outside our pod or function. We have two pods, one focused on web development and the other focused on data science and engineering. Ultimately, this job is a hybrid of project management, technical support, and operational support. You will need to be comfortable assessing the relative priority of different needs at a given time and setting expectations around what can and cannot be done.   • You are capable of driving projects through to successful completion across multiple stakeholders
  • You are a communicator comfortable writing clearly for a technical or non-technical audience
  • You are a critical thinker who questions assumptions and knows how to test hypotheses
  • You have experience thinking in a programmatic way (e.g. writing queries, writing excel formulas, writing code at an entry level)
  • You understand how to troubleshoot in a structured way ("have you tried unplugging it and plugging it back in?" but a few more steps too!)
  • You understand that at the end of the day, our relationships and time spent together contribute to a large part of our life, and you value building trusted and respectful relationships with colleagues
  • (Bonus) You\'ve worked with our tool stack before; Jira, Notion, Slack, Figma
Salary Range: The Salary Range for this position is CAD 80K - 100K annually, with exact salary depending on location as well as prior work experience and the assessment of one\'s fit for the role.
