Reporting to the Senior Manager, Product Manager plays a crucial role in developing and managing service offerings to meet customer needs and drive business growth. A Product Manager in the service industry focuses on designing and improving service offerings, optimizing the customer experience, and driving revenue.

Product Manager Core Responsibilities:

• Strategy: lead & support the development & execution of product or portfolio strategy aligned with organization goals, market trends, and customer requirements. Identify service gaps, market opportunities, and areas for innovation
• Insights: Stay updated on industry trends and competitors\' offerings to identify areas for differentiation and improvement. Understanding and communicating market and customer trends that impact product portfolio and identifying business insights aligning with the corporate strategy
• Product Development: collaborate with cross-functional teams; Operations, Customer Care, Marketing, and Sales to identify opportunities, define requirements, create business cases, and prioritize projects
• Stakeholder Management: build relationships with business partners in cross-functional groups to align on strategy and business objectives
• Metrics & Analytics: monitor product level performance from a volume and revenue standpoint and define project KPIs and measure performance

Product Manager Job Duties:

• Facilitate the development of a product strategy and roadmap with a short-term/ mid-term and long-term views aligned to Purolator\'s business goals, opportunities, and industry challenges
• Become the subject matter expert and owner of the domestic shipping portfolio and develop a firm understanding of the industry, products, market needs, and competitive landscape.
• Leverage existing data assets, interpret & identify business insights, monitor portfolio performance, and share updates with business partners
• Lead efforts and cross-functional teams to increase portfolio revenue, improve customer experience, and drive volume with the support of the commercial team
• Bring new features to market by creating business cases with cross-functional alignment that articulates clear commercial value
• Following approval, initiate execution by capturing business requirements and identifying metrics
• Work in collaboration with Communications & Marketing business partners to develop go-to-market strategies, product positioning, and enablement materials
• Perform product post-launch assessments and create a plan to gather learnings and implement enhancements as required
• Utilize all available resources to make decisions in ambiguous situations

Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s degree in business, marketing, economics, or related field. Master\'s degree is a plus
• Proven experience as a Product Manager or in a similar role within the service industry
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data to derive insights
• Effective communication and presentation skills
• Collaborative mindset to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• A curious thinker with the ability to identify customer needs and business opportunity
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Able to excel in a dynamic environment, lead and manage several projects simultaneously, and have a strong time management and prioritization skills
• Transportation and or supply chain industry experience is an asset
