Reporting to the Director of Product Management, the Product Manager (Perception edge platform) will work alongside our engineering teams to define and deliver on the product roadmap for our embedded platform and AI applications running on camera and appliance hardware. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of on-device AI analytics, ensuring seamless integration between hardware and software, and optimizing real-time video intelligence at the edge, as well as integrating with cloud solutions.


The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of embedded systems, video analytics, and edge computing. You will collaborate closely with engineering, business development, sales, and marketing teams to drive innovation and market success for our embedded AI platform.

Key Responsibilities:

Market & Strategy

Identify, quantify, and validate current and future market needs for embedded AI video analytics through market research and stakeholder engagement. Act as the voice of the customer within the organization, ensuring that product development aligns with real-world use cases. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, identifying key differentiators for our AI platform Define and articulate the business case for new AI capabilities and drive stakeholder alignment.

Product Roadmap & Vision

Develop and maintain the embedded IoT platform and AI product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business and technological goals. Drive cross-functional collaboration between engineering, R&D, and hardware teams to ensure successful execution of the roadmap. Define key performance benchmarks and scalability considerations for AI workloads running on embedded camera platforms.

Product Lifecycle Management

Own the end-to-end product lifecycle, from concept to launch and beyond, ensuring sustained market impact. Work with engineering teams to prioritize AI model deployment, optimizing compute efficiency and inference performance on edge hardware. Monitor product performance metrics (e.g., AI accuracy, processing speed) and drive continuous improvements.

Qualifications & Experience

5+ years of experience in embedded software Product Management, ideally in embedded AI video analytics, IoT architecture, and edge computing. Experience with AI/machine learning technologies is strongly preferred. Familiarity with AI concepts, GPUs, TPUs, and hardware acceleration without requiring a software engineering background in computer vision or deep learning. Ability to engage in technical discussions with engineering teams, understand key concepts and provide guidance and support Exceptional critical thinker, with the ability to anticipate market trends, evaluate tradeoffs, and drive a cohesive product strategy. Understanding of embedded Linux development concepts, as well as IoT architecture. Strong analytical skills, with experience working with AI performance metrics (e.g. Precision/Recall), real-time video processing, and inference optimization. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas, roadmap elements, and business cases to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, feature release plans, and timelines Experience in video security, physical security systems, or IoT devices is highly desirable. Customer-focused with a track record of building strong relationships and understanding customer needs

Target Base Salary Range: $75,700 - $155,200 CAD


Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
