This is what you will do:
The Product Manager will have a key role in supporting the development of Alexion\xe2\x80\x99s therapeutic area (\xe2\x80\x9cTA\xe2\x80\x9d) franchises by ensuring that the marketing strategies and tactics support the understanding of each therapeutic area, the accurate and timely diagnosis of patients, rapid access and appropriate on-going use of our products.
This position will liaise with multiple business functions to ensure appropriate coordination of activities and flawless execution to drive business results.
You will be responsible for:

  • Support the Canadian strategic planning process for the TAs, including supporting the development of Canadian situational assessment, strategies and tactics in a cross-functional manner
  • Developing and ensuring alignment of positioning, marketing strategies and messaging to support the Canadian market
  • Developing and implementing key Canadian marketing initiatives as needed to enhance the business.
  • Developing and maintaining strong cross functional partnerships with other key functional areas (i.e., Sales, Medical, Regulatory)
  • Support all TAs with process requirements in various systems (ex. Aries, contract, MLR and requisition to pay process) to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
  • Ensure full compliance of all projects and initiatives led with internal SOPs/policies and external reporting obligations
  • Managing strategic external agency relationships, including management of budget and performance
  • Supports regular business reviews with senior leadership on brand KPI\xe2\x80\x99s and market dynamics
  • Other responsibilities that are requested from time to time

You will need to have:
  • B.A./B.S. in business or scientific field
  • Minimum of 2 years Marketing experience with at least 3 years Pharma/Biotech experience
  • Worked closely with cross-functional teams including but not limited to Market Access, Medical, Sales, Commercial Operations, Finance and Regulatory
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills
  • Proven project management, planning and organizational ability
  • Effective knowledge in key principles of brand management, HCP promotion and the sales process
  • Experience in managing external brand agencies and vendors on a day-to-day basis and managing promotional budgets
  • Interpersonal skills with ability to work in a team as well as independently
  • Digital marketing experience in life sciences preferred
  • Experience with Customer Service Models and Diagnostic programs preferred but not mandatory
  • Experience in Marketing of Rare Disease drugs preferred but not mandatory
  • Experience in Sales preferred but not mandatory
  • Ability to work on occasion during evenings and weekends
  • Ability to travel as needed

  • Bilingual (French & English) an asset
  • An MBA
