Based out of Winnipeg with some partial remote work available, will report into the crop inputs division of P&H, the Product Line Coordinator will be responsible for negotiations with suppliers, communication with retails, supply planning and inventory management as it relates to crop protection and seed products for Western Canada. This is a challenging role which provides an excellent opportunity for candidates to network with many retails, distribution partners and suppliers.

Preference will be given towards candidates with a proven track-record, analytical approach, background in agronomy and/or supply chain management, knowledge of the seed and crop protection business and business acumen. Some travel will be required.

Your day-to-day activities will include:

  • Negotiate programs, pricing, and position with suppliers
  • Develop and manage position statements, and reports predominantly in MS Excel
  • Communicate programming, pricing, supply, and product features to retail staff
  • Work with retails on diligent inventory management
  • Facilitate business builder tactics that drive the business
  • Create positive working relationships with staff and suppliers
  • Promote product stewardship with staff and customers
  • Present at employee and customer meetings as required.
The successful candidate should enter the position with the following qualifications:
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and MS Excel experience
  • Strong business acumen with attention to detail
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently. A \xe2\x80\x9cGo-Getter\xe2\x80\x9d
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and sales skills
  • Background in crop inputs will be given preference
  • Diploma or degree in a related discipline
  • Preference for 3 years work experience in the agricultural industry, particularly in crop inputs
  • P. Ag an asset but not required.
