About this opportunity:

Cenovus is hiring a Product Handler at the Minnedosa Ethanol facility! This role works closely with the team to ensure all truck receipts and shipments are met as well as ensuring safe and efficient operation of all equipment within the Grain and DDGS loading/unloading facilities.

We are looking for an individual who is self-motivated, positive and possesses a strong commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment!

Work Environment:

This is a full-time position working a 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will be required to live in Minnedosa or surrounding area.

This position is required to work safely in a wide variety of conditions due to the nature of the operation (working at heights, in confined spaces, varying weather conditions, grain dust and working around moving and rotating equipment, etc.).

Responsibilities:

Work directly with product handling team to perform all duties required in the receiving, grading, and binning of feed grain according to accepted standards and procedures while enhancing throughput.

Perform minor equipment and facility maintenance.

Maintain excellent customer relations with grain and DDGS (dried distillers grains with solubles) vendors and carriers.

Issue receipts for grain deliveries and bill of ladings for DDGS shipments.

Align with all Cenovus safety policies and assist with development of safe work procedures involving Grain and DDGS loading/unloading facilities as well as Ethanol railcar loading and movement.

Operate various types of equipment such as forklift, loaders, etc.

Participate in "HAZOP\'s" and "What-If\'s" as required.

Perform inspections on various equipment such as Grain and DDGS dust collectors, etc.

Complete work permits.

Provide backup and support including vacation coverage and projects.

Qualifications:

Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

Grade 12 diploma is required. Candidates with 4th class power engineering certification or significant progress towards 4th class certification are preferred.

The following experience be considered an asset:

operating railcars, tracks and switches.

working in a Refinery or Industrial setting.

Grain elevator control systems (LV Controls) and terminal management system.

Operating equipment such as loaders, telehandlers, genie lifts, skid steers.

Grain grading and knowledge of different grains.

Mechanical proficiency and ability to troubleshoot problems.

Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision, independently or in a team setting.

Proficient in MS Office suite and SAP would be an asset.

As this position has been identified as safety critical; employment of a final candidate selected for this position will be conditional upon successful completion of required pre-employment medical, alcohol/drug assessments and railway medical.

This position requires maintaining a Class 5 driver\'s license, a satisfactory driving record, and adhere to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines. A driver\xe2\x80\x99s abstract will be one of the background checks requested in the Pre-employment Screening for the final candidate.
