JOB SUMMARY



Reporting to the R&D Director, as a Product Development Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading product development projects from A to Z, in collaboration with an R&D team. You will be involved in all stages: market analysis, design, prototyping, testing and production. This role is ideal for a professional at the beginning of his/her career who wants to develop his/her skills in project management and mechanical engineering in a manufacturing environment. To do so, you will be able to count on the contribution of a team of about ten people including engineers, technicians and designers.

RESPONSIBILITIES



Project Management:



Provide technical support to the marketing team in drafting specifications and identify the standards to be met in assigned projects. Plan, monitor and respect project deadlines and budgets. Prepare and present progress reports on mandates to the department director.

Product Development:



Market Analysis:

Analyzing the market to understand customer needs and trends.

Product Design:

Design innovative solutions in SolidWorks, complying with regulatory requirements and optimizing quality and costs.

Choice of materials:

Propose appropriate material choices based on technical requirements (e.g., steel, aluminum, plastic, etc.).

Prototyping and testing:

Coordinate the manufacture of prototypes and participate in testing to validate product compliance and robustness.

Monitoring initial production runs:

Ensure the follow-up of the first productions to guarantee a product that complies with the requirements, in conjunction with internal and external stakeholders.

Documentation:

Create and maintain documentation related to developed products.

Training:

Conduct training on new products.

Other Related Duties

: Actively participate in department's initiatives to achieve objectives.

REQUIREMENTS, QUALITIES AND SKILLS REQUIRED



Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering; Candidate to the Engineering Profession (CEP); Experience: Internship or academic project in product development; Interest in the manufacturing sector; Fluency in French and English, both oral and written; Ability to learn; Curiosity and technical creativity; Ability to manage several projects simultaneously with thoroughness and organization; Focused on results and delivery of mandates; Analytical and business acumen (use of standard parts and cost optimization); Autonomy and resourcefulness; Committed and passionate; Team spirit and assertiveness; Knowledge of SolidWorks or Catia computer-aided design software; Knowledge of the Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
