We are looking for a Product Assurance/Quality Coordinator to join the team!
This position will support a range of research and development activities as well as product development and support in defence and aerospace applications. In this position, you will work with BTI's Director, Quality to ensure that the development and delivery of our projects and products are in full compliance with the contractual and company requirements in regards to relevant Product Assurance and Quality standards. Key responsibilities for this position include:
Work with the Director, Quality to proactively ensure BTI's Quality Management System meets the requirements of ISO 9001:2015, regulatory requirements, customer requirements, and the policies of BTI
Close collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, testing, and procurement teams to ensure seamless integration of product assurance and quality processes into all project phases
Support the establishment, management, and verification of product assurance requirements in all space products and programs
Support parts quality and reliability, quality checks/reviews/inspections, safety and risk analysis, and software quality checks/reviews/inspections for BTI's space programs
Support internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, international standards, and contractual requirements
Implement corrective and preventive actions to address non-conformances in a timely manner and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure records are collected and analyzed to identify trends that adversely affect quality
Conduct root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action initiatives for any deviations from quality standards
We are looking for candidates that meet the following profile:
Due to security requirements, the candidate must be a Canadian or US citizen, or a permanent resident of Canada, and will be required to provide a criminal record check as a condition of employment
Bachelor's Degree required with a strong academic or professional record; a degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field is an asset
Experience in a manufacturing or product development environment within an ISO 9001-certified organization or equivalent; experience within the space or aerospace industry an asset
Strong understanding of quality control standards and methodological tools (Six Sigma, Lean, ISO standards)
In-depth knowledge of aerospace quality standards, such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or other relevant industry regulations, is an asset
Must be able to interpret requirement documents, including international standards, contracts, and regulations
Excellent analytical skills and organizational abilities
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interfacing with a multi-disciplinary team of scientific, engineering, manufacturing, and management personnel
Must be creative, self?motivated, organized, receptive to constructive feedback, and able to learn quickly on a continuous basis
Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access; Experience with SAP Business One an asset
